Heresies and Errors

I frequently use the word "heresy." I confess that I use it too liberally. I believe that heresies refer to errors in God's very nature, errors such as denying the humanity or deity of Christ, or denying the Holy Spirit. Heresies are sufficiently grevious that if one truely holds to a heresy, there is good reason to question if that person can even be a Christian. There are some (actually plenty of) errors, that refer to other smaller issues of interpretation, such as whether it was a fish or a whale that swallowed Jonah.

From here on out I'm going to try and stick to this convention of words. My apologies for over-zealously using the word "heresy" for things that are not heretical.
